Amman, Jordan: Bank ABC in Jordan has renewed its memorandum of Understanding with the Princess Alia Foundation (PAF) and Ministry of Education under the sponsorship of the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ). This initiative, titled "Green Prints Initiative for Paper Recycling", aims to support public schools and promote environmental sustainability through paper recycling.
The MOU includes supporting the educational process in Jordan by providing public schools with necessary paper. Additionally, it focuses on protecting the environment, through the recycling of used paper by the Bank, which is then replaced with new paper. The PAF distributes the recycled paper free of charge to the Ministry’s directorates.
On this occasion, Mr. George Farah Sofia, the General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, stated: “We highly value the role of the Princess Alia Foundation in achieving sustainable development and providing a better future for future generations. He also emphasised the importance of collaboration between the private and public sectors to implement initiatives that serve the education sector.”
The MOU was signed by Mr. George Farah Sofia, the General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, Her Highness Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, the Executive Director of the Princess Alia Foundation and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs. This memorandum was signed under the sponsorship of the Association of Banks in Jordan, represented by Mr. Bassem Khalil Al-Salem, the Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors.
